N-Capryloyl Lysine is an amino acid-based functional powder derived from L-lysine that forms hexagonal flat crystals. It is insoluble in water and oils and is a texture modifier in pressed powder foundations.
N-Capryloyl Lysine has similar properties to Lauroyl Lysine but provides a lighter and more moisture feel after application. In addition, it reveals a natural transparency after application while keeping a soft texture in pressed powder foundation.
N-Capryloyl Lysine imparts smoothness without sacrificing pick-up ability. Combining it with Lauroyl Lysine allows formulators to control product strength, adhesion, and pick-up ability.
