The Egyptians revered Common Chamomile (Anthemis Nobilis) for its virtues. Because they believed it could cure ague, they dedicated it to their gods.

Because of its calmative properties, Anthemis Nobilis has been used in eye washes, as well as for swellings, bruises, toothaches, earaches, and local and intestinal inflammations. It has also been used to treat indigestion, insomnia, and skin problems.

Anthemis Nobilis is also considered a preventative and the sole remedy for nightmares. Its antiseptic qualities have been used to heal open sores, wounds, and abrasions.

Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract is a light to medium amber liquid with a characteristic odor. Roman Chamomile extract is used in creams, lotions, moisturizers, toners, and bath care products. It can also be used in shampoos, conditioners, and hair coloring formulas to add highlights to blonde hair.
