Berry Wax

This purely plant-based wax is extracted from the peel of Rhus verniciflua, the lacquer tree (or varnish tree), a member of the Cashew family whose sap is used to produce East Asian lacquerware. Berry wax smoothens and softens the skin, moisturizes the lips, and lends the hair a silky shine. In addition, it can guard the skin against harmful environmental factors by leaving an invisible protective layer.

In skin care creams and stick preparations, berry wax provides a soft and silky feeling and improves the oil binding. In wax, crayons, and pencils, it enhances the breaking strength, the lubricity, and the pay-off.
