Calendula

Named by the ancient Romans, Calendula (Calendula Officinalis) was considered to have a powerful magic. It has been used to treat fevers, headaches, and many childhood diseases and may be used in the infusion form in baths to reduce body scars, soothe varicose veins, and help control thread veins on the face.

Calendula Officinalis has also been used as an ointment to promote wound healing and treat swellings, abscesses, rashes, burns, insect stings, and boils. Calendula has also been credited with anti-spasmodic action and is effective in soothing inflamed eye tissue and eliminating warts.
