Rosewood oil is a very sweet, woody-floral, spicy, fragrance. Rosewood (Aniba Rosaeodora) is a medium-sized, tropical, evergreen tree with a reddish bark and heartwood, bearing yellow flowers. It is native to the Amazon region and Brazil and Peru are the main producers of Aniba Rosaeodora wood oil.

Aniba Rosaeodora essential oil is obtained through steam distillation of the wood chippings. There are several species of timber all known as rosewood; however, the essential oil is distilled only from the above species. Aniba Rosaeodora wood oil possesses prosperities of mildly analgesic, anticonvulsant, antidepressant, antimicrobial, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, bactericidal, cellular stimulant, cephalic, deodorant, stimulant (immune system). tissue regenerator, tonic.

Historically, rosewood was used extensively as a source of natural linalol, the acetylated rosewood is now used extensively in perfumery work - soaps, toiletries, cosmetics, and perfumes. Rosewood oil is also employed in most major food categories, alcoholic, and soft drinks.

Aniba Rosaeodora wood oil is used in aromatherapy. Medicinal uses include acne, dermatitis, scars, wounds, and wrinkles. Though it is not known to have any dramatic curative powers, rosewood oil is especially useful in skincare. It is also known to be helpful for colds, coughs, fever, infections, frigidity, headaches, nausea, nervous tension, and stress-related conditions.

Rosewood oil blends well with most oils, especially citrus, wood, and florals. It is a safe, non-toxic, non-irritant, and non-sensitizing ingredient for personal care applications.
