Alpha-isomethyl Ionone is a terpenoid (sesquiterpenoid) ketone found in Brewer's yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) and Mokryeon (Magnolia Kobus), an aromatic violate compound with a floral-woody odor from the ionone family discovered in 1893by Tiemann. It is used in the food industry as a flavoring agent, in perfumery, and in personal care applications as a fragrance ingredient.

Alpha-isomethylionone is a colorless to pale oily liquid, an isomer of Methyl Ionone, but its sweet orris-like scent is felt more attractive. It has a low skin sensitization profile, but in the case of known allergic reactions, please log in to our website and set it as an allergen in your account to avoid purchasing products with this ingredient.
