Adenine is one of the four purine nucleobases in DNA, a substance naturally found in plants and also in humans, that can be considered a cellular self-repair factor. Adenine repairs cells through triple mechanisms:

  • Repairs DNA damaged by UVA/UVB radiation, allowing the cell to continue its vital cycle
  • Exerts a potent antioxidant effect, through the stimulation of the superoxide dismutase enzyme, in combination with the endogenous copper ion, directly neutralizes free radicals
  • Stimulates rRNA and tRNA, increasing protein metabolism stabilizing and normalizing collagen and elastin synthesis by fibroblasts.
