Isohexadecane is a clear, color- and odorless liquid for use in skin and sun care products to leave a silky and light emollient feeling on the skin. It is dermatologically safe, non-comedogenic, and non-greasy.
Isohexadecane has excellent spreading ability and is compatible with all commonly used lipids and other active ingredients. Thanks to high stability and other functional properties, it complies with the regulations in the European Union, the United States of America, and Japan.
Isohexadecane is used as an emollient for skin care and sun care preparations, a spreadability enhancer, and a solvent for lipophilic actives and ingredients.
