Acetyl Tripeptide-54 Amide

Acetyl Tripeptide-54 Amide is a low molecular weight lipo-peptide (known under the trade name Adiponin™) derived from Adiponectin, an adipose-tissue-specific releasing adipokine. This protein circulates through the human body and suppresses not only inflammatory reactions and carcinogenic metastasis but also works for skin regeneration, moisturization, and wrinkle enhancement.

Adiponectin facilitates the proliferation of keratinocytes and fibroblasts, induces the generation of extracellular matrix (ECM) components like collagen, ceramides, and hyaluronic acid, and promotes the expression of filaggrin. Increased filaggrin levels strengthen the skin barrier, and maintain skin moisture by promoting the production of natural moisturizing factors (NMFs) such as profilaggrin, involucrin, and PCA.

Incorporated in skin care applications, Acetyl Tripeptide-54 Amide heals damaged skin, suppresses fibrosis, lessens wrinkles, replenishes the barrier, and moisturizes the skin. It also improves skin elasticity thanks to increased extracellular matrix protein and glycosaminoglycan production in the dermis.

In addition, Acetyl Tripeptide-54 Amide enhances skin renewal by promoting keratinocyte proliferation, exposing a fresher, uniform, and healthy appearance. It is a safe and effective ingredient, usually used in 1-5% concentrations.
