Oligopeptide-34

Oligopeptide-34 is a synthetic peptide (known under the trade name CG-TGP2) that decreases melanin synthesis by down-regulation of TRP-1, TRP-2, MITF, and Tyrosinase. It also blocks melanosome assembly and its transfer from melanocytes to keratinocytes, leaving a significant skin-brightening effect.

In addition, Oligopeptide-34 activates the breakdown of the melanocyte-stimulating hormone (MSH), a central regulator of tyrosinase enzyme production. Tyrosinase plays a crucial role in the melanin synthesis cascade.

Tests with a preparation containing Oligopeptide-34 proved significant inhibition of melanin synthesis and decreased tyrosinase enzyme activity on melanocyte cell lines in a concentration-dependent manner.

Thanks to the down-regulation of TH1-type pro-inflammatory cytokines, Oligopeptide-34 decreases dermal lymphocyte cell proliferation, leaving a noticeable anti-inflammatory effect. Moreover, it promotes the division and differentiation of fibroblasts, significantly increasing collagen, elastin, and fibronectin levels in the skin's extracellular matrix (ECM).

CG-TGP2 is a multifunctional, safe, and effective ingredient used in preparations against hyperpigmentation and anti-aging applications.
