Oligopeptide-73 is a synthetic peptide known under the trade name CG-EPG that triggers the proliferation of keratinocytes and fibroblasts, protects fibroblasts from oxidative stress, and blocks apoptosis. It activates the synthesis of cellular phosphatidylcholine (using the SAM cycle - S-adenosyl-methionine).
Phosphatidylcholine is one of the main components of cell membranes and is a cytoprotector. Phosphatidylcholine prevents the formation of rough connective tissue, scars, and stretch marks, and protects cells from oxidative stress.
Oligopeptide-73 is used in modern high-end serums for skin rejuvenation, firming, and protection.
