sh-Polypeptide-5

sh-Polypeptide-5 is a synthetic recombinant peptide, an analog of human TGFβ3 (Transforming Growth Factor β3). It regulates the proliferation, growth, and differentiation of skin cells as a powerful multifunctional cytokine and keeps the skin young by converting old cells into new ones.

Naturally, the TGFβ3 is a signaling cytokine that is secreted after bleeding or skin damage. sh-Polypeptide-5 promotes regenerative processes and accelerates wound healing while preventing scar formation. It boosts the production of extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins including collagens I, III, IV, and V, elastin, fibronectin, and thrombospondin.

Improving structural proteins (collagen and elastin) organization, sh-Polypeptide-5 improves dermal cells' adhesion to the matrix, leaving a significant smoothing, firming, and anti-aging effect. In addition, it transduces a signal to other cytokines involved in skin repair processes.
