Bishydroxyethyl Dihydroxypropyl Stearammonium Chloride is a slightly hazy liquid with a cationic nature. It is a polymeric quaternary ammonium compound used as a humectant in personal care applications, such as lotions, shaving foams, and shampoos. It is also known under the trade name Cola® Quat HRC.

Providing an excellent performance in skin and hair products, Bishydroxyethyl Dihydroxypropyl Stearammonium Chloride is a good alternative to Quaternium-16 and Stearyl Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chloride. Its antistatic and high foaming properties make it a good ingredient for hair rinse conditioners and shampoo.

In various compositions with differentiated performance or synergistic effects, Bishydroxyethyl Dihydroxypropyl Stearammonium Chloride is also used in disinfectants, surfactant systems (detergents), and other skin and hair conditioning products.
