Dimethylacrylamide/Acrylic acid/Polystyrene Ethyl Methacrylate Copolymer

Dimethylacrylamide/Acrylic acid/Polystyrene Ethyl Methacrylate Copolymer is a bioadhesive block copolymer for dermal active delivery and enhanced moisturization. Its benefits include:

  • Moisturization: entrains up to 20folds the weight of water in a swollen hydrogel
  • Bio-adhesion: provides adhesion to moist skin
  • Controlled delivery: film forming

Once hydrated and dispersed, Dimethylacrylamide/Acrylic acid/Polystyrene Ethyl Methacrylate Copolymer will continue to provide a lasting hydration/rehydration source, particularly with moisturizing activities. An 8-hour single application moisture and re-hydration clinical test evaluation found elevated moisture levels in the skin after one-hour delivery (up to about 3x increased moisture in the skin) and increased moisture levels after rehydration.

Significant improvements in hydration and prevention of transepidermal water loss (TEWL) were found when moisture-loving botanical actives (Biotransformed Rice Bran) were formulated along with Dimethylacrylamide/Acrylic acid/Polystyrene Ethyl Methacrylate Copolymer.

Once the cosmetics bulk moisture dries off, Dimethylacrylamide/Acrylic acid/Polystyrene Ethyl Methacrylate Copolymer forms an invisible water-insoluble film and exhibits strong bio-adhesion lasting over 24 hours on the skin. It is clinically proven over repeated washings with soap and water. In addition, film-forming properties enhance the delivery of actives.
