Disodium Sebacoyl Bis-Lauramidolysine is a sodium salt of a diester of Sebacic acid with Lauroyl Lysine. It is an amino acid-based multifunctional surfactant and emollient with unique properties for skin and hair care applications. It is a white powder barely soluble in water and oils.

Incorporated in cleansing applications, Disodium Sebacoyl Bis-Lauramidolysine acts as a foam booster and potentiating agent for other surfactants, with better conditioning and providing additional benefits to dry skin and hair. It offers excellent texture with high lubricity, silky soft after-feel, and a water replant effect.

Thanks to its Gemini structure, Disodium Sebacoyl Bis-Lauramidolysine exhibits a low critical micelle concentration. It can also act as a gelling agent in water-based formulations.

In shampoo and conditioners, Disodium Sebacoyl Bis-Lauramidolysine penetrates into hair and suspends hair damage while improving foam volume, structure, and stability. In addition, it provides a smooth feeling and increased hydrophobicity. It is used in foaming cleansers, body washing gels, shampoo, and hair conditioners.
