Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate is an anionic surfactant created from the amino acid glycine (a component of collagen) and botanically derived coconut fatty acid. It is an amino-acid-type surfactant that has an excellent synergistic effect with fatty acid soaps and salts and increases the amount of foam, its retention, and resiliency.

Very mild and hypoallergenic, Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate is used as a detergent, a foaming agent, an emulsifier, a solubilizer, and a dispersing agent. It provides a smooth and non-stripped feeling to the skin.

Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate has excellent solubility under neutral to alkaline conditions and high foaming power at all concentration levels. Combined with other detergents, it improves foam volume and retentiveness.

Thanks to its gentle action, Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate is used in cleansing applications, makeup removers, soaps, and face washes. It is also valuable for hair shampoo, body wash, washing creams, and hand liquid soaps. In specialized products, it appears in contact lens cleaners and toothpaste.
