Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate is an acyl-amino acid type (acylglutamate) mild anionic surfactant used in soaps and cleaners. It is compatible with anionic and non-ionic surfactants used in cleansing applications and incompatible with cationic surfactants and other substances.

Incorporated in hair and shower shampoos, foam baths, baby care products, and washing-up liquids, Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate provides a soft feeling to the skin during and after use, leaving the hair, soft, gloss,y and easy to comb.

Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate reduces the skin irritation of traditional surfactants. It has a moderate foaming power and exhibits good detergency.

Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate is a safe ingredient for personal care products, non-irritating for skin, slightly irritant for eyes, and not sensitizing (hypoallergic). It is used in concentrations of 5-20% depending on product type.
