AC Kerazyme® is a natural and effective complex, a unique blend of hydrolyzed keratin and Trametes versicolor extract for hair care applications.
Trametes versicolor is a mushroom grown throughout the U.S. and contains Laccase. Laccase is a copper-containing oxidative enzyme that cross-links keratin without damaging hair. Laccase from Trametes versicolor extract cross-links free carboxylic acid groups in hydrolyzed keratin with the amine groups present in keratin hair fibers.
Hydrolyzed keratin deeply nourishes hair, while Laccase reacts with amine groups in the hydrolyzed keratin via the reactive groups on the hair fiber. In addition, AC Kerazyme® fortifies disulfide bonds (-S-S-), helping enhance hair strength and repair damage.
