Oryza Sativa Bran Oil is a rice bran oil, a clear yellow to amber oily liquid. It is a good source of antioxidants, essential fatty acids, vitamins, unsaponifiables (3.5%), and other skin-nourishing compounds. It is an excellent ingredient for the treatment of dry and flaky skin.

It is soluble in common cosmetic oils and has a low acid and peroxide value. Oryza Sativa Bran Oil's saponification value is 180-195, iodine value is 92-115, the refractive index is 1.470-1.473, and specific gravity is 0.916-0.922.

As a natural ingredient with many benefits, Oryza Sativa Bran Oil is a perfect replacement for mineral oils, isopropyl palmitate, and isopropyl myristate. It is naturally rich in tocopherols (vitamin E), which content is about 0.03 - 0.05 %. It protects dermal cells from UV-induced and oxidative damage, leaving potent antioxidant and anti-photoaging effects.

In addition, Oryza Sativa Bran Oil contains a high amount of mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids (Oleic and Linoleic acids), which act as antioxidants, replenish the lipid barrier, and moisturize the skin. Incorporated into hair treatment applications, Oryza Sativa Bran Oil adds body and luster to hair.
