PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate

PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate is an ethoxylated methyl glucose diether esterified with oleic acid. It is a pale yellow solid in the form of waxy flakes with a mild odor.

Derived from corn, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate is an effective nonionic thickener for hair and skin care products. It is used in shower gels, facial cleansers, shampoos, and other surfactant systems, enabling gelling and moisturization.

PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate does does not provide yield values but does offer excellent thickening performance and compatibility in a wide range of surfactant systems. It is effective even with low levels of surfactant (less than 10% solids) and does not reduce foam heights.

PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate is highly recommended for mild cleansing systems due to its ability to reduce the irritancy of surfactant packages and provide a very light feel. Its use levels range from 0.1% to 5.0%, depending on application and the thickening required.
