Behentrimonium Methosulfate is a quaternary ammonium salt with antistatic and softening properties used in a wide range of personal care products, from shampoos and conditioners to lotions and creams. It is active behenyl trimethyl ammonium methosulfate in the form of flakes, usually combined with Cetyl alcohol, and forms a cationic self-emulsifying wax that enables elegant emulsions with enhanced feel properties.

Behentrimonium methosulfate is soluble in alcohol and dispersible in warm water and exhibits excellent compatibility with cationic and nonionic surfactants. It imparts exceptional wetting, cleaning, conditioning, softening, suspending, and emulsifying properties.

With low color and odor, Behentrimonium methosulfate is consistently reliable. It is one of the mildest hair-detangling ingredients available in the market. This scientifically sophisticated, naturally derived ingredient is derived from non-genetically modified rapeseed oil and is renowned for its superior detangling ability without causing build-up on the hair.

Incorporated in premium bath and body care products, Behentrimonium methosulfate imparts smooth detangling. It improves dry comb and fly-away while leaving a soft powdery after-feel and enhancing the mildness of the entire formulation. Extreme mildness and more excellent conditioning effects are characteristic of materials that contain long fatty chain lengths.

Behentrimonium Methosulfate can be used as the primary emulsifier in other applications like lotions and conditioners. It combines a quaternary conditioner, cationic emulsifier, and mildness enhancer as one ingredient.
