Butylene Glycol Cocoate

Butylene Glycol Cocoate is an emollient, mono- and di-esters mix with extraordinary pigment-wetting properties. It is used in texturing makeup bases, foundations, concealers, and cover sticks for younger, more even skin tones.

The low viscosity of both non-coated or hydrophobically-coated pigment dispersions created with Butylene Glycol Cocoate (70 to 90% less viscous than castor oil) is an indicator of their high quality. These same wetting and solubilizing characteristics are associated with the SPF-boosting effects obtained in live trials.
