Ceteareth-6 Olivate is an ester of olive oil glycerides and pre-ethoxylated (polyethylened) cetearyl alcohol, a non-ionic naturally derived emulsifier for oil-in-water systems. Olive oil has the highest compatibility with human skin among sustainable botanical lipids, so Ceteareth-6 Olivate combines the precious goodness of natural oil with a potent emulsifying ability.

It provides the expected stability, safety, and texture for cosmetic preparations from light, fast-absorbing creams to very low-viscosity emulsions. In addition, Ceteareth-6 Olivate leaves smooth and light after-feel with a good spreading ability and without whitening of occlusive effects.

This powerful emulsifier doesn't need additional co-emulsifiers and is useful for all kinds of personal care preparations such as skin, sun, and body care applications and decorative cosmetics. Patch tests of Ceteareth-6 Olivate on human skin and mucous membranes showed that this ingredient is non-irritant and safe for cosmetic formulations.

Ceteareth-6 Olivate allows using different amounts of natural and polar lipids, but also light esters and silicones in different types of formulations including fluid and hyper-fluid lotions, showing very satisfactory results in formulating oil-in-water emulsions that perform perfect tolerance, total safety, natural image, and unique sensorial profile.
