Glyceryl Stearate Citrate is a combination of glycerin mono-/distearates and citric acid esters from mono- and diglycerides. It is a natural, edible emulsifier for modern oil-in-water creams and lotions.

Completely based on vegetable raw materials, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate is an anionic emulsifier that allows formulators to achieve PEG-free stable products. It is a very safe ingredient approved for use as an emulsifier in foods. In addition, it is well suited for making emulsions with a slightly acidic pH value (corresponding to the natural pH value of human skin).

Thanks to its high tolerability, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate is especially recommended for sensitive skin. Incorporated in skincare products, it supports consistency and oil-binding capacity. It is used in 1.5 - 3.0% concentrations.
