Glyceryl Undecylenate is a monoester glycerin and undecylenic acid (C11 acid) natural and multifunctional (emollient, co-emulsifier, and moisturizer) ingredient for preservative-free or self-preserving skincare formulas. It is renewable and completely vegetable-derived, has no petroleum derivatives or other chemical content, and is a certified natural preservative.

This ingredient effectively inhibits bacteria, yeast, and fungi reproduction and growth, as proven scientifically during multiple studies. At 0.1% concentration, it is effective against Gram-positive and -negative bacteria and, combined with Methylpropanediol, can replace classic preservatives in organic cosmetic products.

Thanks to its origin and significant antimicrobial action, Glyceryl Undecylenate is primarily suggested for use in all aqueous systems, including water-in-oil or oil-in-water emulsions such as all-natural skincare moisturizers, creams, and lotions. It is used for deodorants, foot creams, depilatory, shaving foam, and hair care applications.
