Octyldodecyl Neopentanoate is a clear, low-freezing liquid with a slight characteristic odor. It is a non-comedogenic, chemically stable, and safe ingredient for personal care applications.
Mainly used as an extraordinary emollient, Octyldodecyl Neopentanoate can also act as a moisturizer and pigment-wetting agent. It considerably improves sunscreens's SPF (Sun Protective Factor) and is used as a solid career and an exclusive emollient in sun care products.
Octyldodecyl Neopentanoate is also an excellent binder in pressed powder formulations, exhibiting good stability in acidic pH emulsions. It is insoluble in water and soluble in most natural and mineral oils and alcohol.
