Octyldodecyl Oleate is an EcoCert-certified ester derived from olive oil used in skin/hair care applications and decorative cosmetics for its dispensing, emollient, and shining properties. It is a clear light yellow liquid, with a faint olive odor and non-greasy feel.

Thanks to its good refractive index value of 1.565, Octyldodecyl Oleate is a perfect alternative to silicones like phenyl dimethicone. It is an awesome pigment-wetting agent that can carry up to 45-75% of pigments and provide a cushiony after-feel improving mascara performance.

Octyldodecyl Oleate provides incredible natural shine to hair and body, especially effective in lip glosses. In addition, it is used in cleansing oils for face care that provides additional lubricity with a luxurious feel.

In addition, it is used in lash separation and lengthening mascaras. Octyldodecyl Oleate is compatible with other esters, silicones, and nonpolar oils, and appears in color cosmetics, facial, hair, body, lash, and sun care products in concentrations of 1-5%.
