Propylene Glycol Dicaprate is a diester of selected high-purity vegetable fatty acids and propylene glycol. It is a clear viscose liquid completely miscible with mineral oils and pure ethanol. It is permitted for use in selected pharmaceuticals, nutritional formulations, and personal care products.

Propylene Glycol Dicaprate is an exceptional emollient for skin care applications, producing a smooth, non-greasy, powdery after-feel with shine. Due to its excellent solubility, it works exceptionally well in combination with mineral oils in cosmetics and makeup remover products.

Propylene Glycol Dicaprate is used in creams, lotions, and decorative cosmetics. Thanks to its unique properties, viscosity, and compatibility with other cosmetic ingredients, it is also used in sun and hair care products to improve spreadability and enhance hair shine.

Due to its nonoily feel, excellent stability, and bland taste and odor, Propylene Glycol Dicaprate is an excellent ingredient for solubilizing vitamins, pigments, flavors, and fragrances. In addition, it complies with 21 CFR 172.856 and Kosher U.
