Decapeptide-19 is a synthetic peptide with the sequence Ala-Cys-Asp-Gly-Arg-Thr-Gln-Ala-Leu-Cys that inhibits the specific biological activity of TNF-α cytokine and exhibits anti-inflammatory and hair growth-promoting properties. It is known under the trade name CG-Elima.

Inhibiting an inflammatory cytokine, Decapeptide-19 lessens the proliferation of cells responsible for inflammation, resulting in a significant anti-inflammatory and soothing action on the skin. Incorporated in skin care applications, it reduces inflammatory response and is effective against eczema, atopic and allergic dermatitis, and other inflammatory skin conditions.

Decapeptide-19 stimulates the proliferation of hair follicles and the production of proteins involved in hair growth and development. In addition, it decreases the production of Dickkopf-related protein 1 (DDK-1), which is responsible for hair loss. So, it leaves a dual effect, preventing hair loss and promoting growth.
