Oligopeptide-6 is a biomimetic synthetic peptide that repeats a part of the sequence of Laminin-5 and mimics its action on skin cells. It interacts with integrins and receptors on skin cell surfaces, promoting their adhesion and migration.

Promoting integrins gene expression and production, Oligopeptide-6 improves cellular adhesion. It boosts Laminin-5 production recovering DEJ (Dermal-Epidermal Junction) integrity. Laminin-5 is located on the cell membrane and it is a key molecule involved in the adhesion and its deficiency is connected with the aging process in the skin.

In addition, Oligopeptide-6 enhances the synthesis of extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins and boosts regenerative processes, resulting in smoother, healthy, and rejuvenated skin. It is used as a repair and regeneration booster in many high-end anti-aging applications.
