Lemongrass (Cymbopogon Schoenanthus), a source of commercial vitamin A, was used in China medicinally to treat colds, headaches, stomach disorders, and rheumatism pain.

Cymbopogon Schoenanthus is said to be non-irritating, analgesic, and to normalize overactive oil glands in the skin. It has been used in cosmetics to cleanse and give hair a sheen.

Lemongrass has also been included in perfumes for its lemon-fresh smell. The oil was used as an insecticide and as a stimulant through inhalation.

Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Extract is a light to medium amber liquid with a characteristic odor. Its excellent cleansing action makes it useful in skin cleansers, toners, soaps, and herbal bath products.

Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Extract is particularly effective for oily skin and adds highlights and shine to hair. It can also be used as a fragrance component in soaps, creams, lotions, and perfumes.
