The Egyptians have prepared oil and ointment from the Lawsonia Inermis flowers to make the limbs supple. Since 1890, Henna (Lawsonia Inermis) has been widely used for tinting hair, usually as a shampoo.
Mixing Lawsonia Inermis with the leaves of other plants, such as indigo, produces many shades. Henna has been used internally and externally to treat jaundice, leprosy, smallpox, and skin inflammation.
Lawsonia Inermis Flower/Fruit/Leaf Extract is a medium amber liquid with a characteristic odor. It is soluble in any proportion of water.
Henna extract is used in skin creams, lotions, gels, and skin treatments. Lawsonia Inermis Flower/Fruit/Leaf Extract can also be used in shampoos, conditioners, and other hair care products to color the hair. The recommended use level is 5 - 10% in skin and hair care products.Synonyms
