Salix Alba Bark Extract is an orange-brown to red-brown liquid with a characteristic odor. It is a natural ingredient derived from white willow bark.
White Willow belongs to the Salicaceae plant family and contains flavanoids (tonic effect) and phenolic acids (astringent, antiseptic properties), as well as the active principle Salicylic Acid (Anti-inflammatory). It contains Salicin, a glycoside that serves as a source of natural BHA, the salicylic acid.
Thanks to microwave extraction technology, targeted active salicin concentration can reach about 100ppm. Salix Alba Bark Extract is a natural addition of salicylic acid to any exfoliating product, face wash, or mask.
