Sasa Quelpaertensis Extract is a yellowish liquid with a characteristic odor. Sasa Quelpaertensis (Jeju Jolitdaecha)  is an indigenous plant that grows only at Mt. Halla on Jeju Island, located south of the Korean peninsula.

The medicinal use of Jeju Jolitdae is written in Dongui Bogam, a Korean medical book compiled by the royal physician Heo Jun and published in the early 17th century. Sasa Quelpaertensishas has also been used as a tea for a long time, and this plant is known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer efficacies.

Modern scientific studies showed that Sasa Quelpaertensis Extract inhibits melanin synthesis and can be used as a skin whitening agent. Incorporated in skin care applications, this natural ingredient brightens skin tone and fights against hyperpigmentation and age spots.
