Vitis Vinifera Seed Extract is a brownish to orange micro-granulated powder obtained from grape seeds, a byproduct of wine production. Thanks to high polyphenols (particularly Resveratrol) and procyanidin content, it exhibits an outstanding antioxidant effect, acting as one the most potent free radical scavengers among all-natural extracts and superior to vitamins C and E.

In the case of the Red wine process, polyphenols and OPC are transferred from the seeds to the wine during the long fermentation stage, hence the benefits of Red wine. Manufacturers prefer seeds from grapes dedicated to white wine, a shorter process that does not leave time for the active substances to be transferred from the seed to the wine.

Vitis Vinifera Seed Extract is used as a pharmaceutical, food supplement (100-125 mg/day as OPC is recommended based on existing studies), and as a natural ingredient for skin, body, and hair care applications. It is incorporated in many anti-aging formulations, sun protection products, Cholesterol-lowering, and Vascular protection products.
