Acrylates/Ethylhexyl Acrylate Copolymer is a transparent polymer with low viscosity and a low characteristic odor that can form a glossy film on the skin. It is recommended for applications that should be easily removed, and suitable for decorative cosmetics, lip gloss, and nail polish. It forms an emulsion with water that is applied on the skin it dries after 5 minutes, and comes off easily by washing with water. It has a good balance of water resistance and removability.

Stable over a wide pH range (2.0 -10), Acrylates/Ethylhexyl Acrylate Copolymer is a good viscosity modifier, compatible with almost all types of ingredients including alcohols, surfactants, oils, pigments, carbomers, polyacrylates, natural gums or derivatives of cellulose. Incorporated in decorative cosmetics, it provides adequate adhesiveness to the skin.
