Disteardimonium Hectorite is a rheology modifier or anti-settling agent. It is vegetable-derived and non-animal organically modified hectorite.

It is a highly efficient rheological additive for low to intermediate-polarity materials such as mineral oils, vegetable oils, petroleum distillates, and cyclomethicones. Disteardimonium Hectorite is a perfect thickener that delivers predictable, reproducible, and stable consistency allowing formulators to control viscosity.

It enables a shear-thinning flow with excellent suspension. Disteardimonium Hectorite is a creamy white, finely divided powder and is typically used at 0.25-3% in antiperspirants, color cosmetics, creams and lotions, sunscreens, lipsticks, eye products, facial make-up, and haircare products.
