Oleth-10 is an ethoxylated oleyl alcohol, a white semi-solid without odor (fragrance-grade) derived from natural raw material. It is used as a solubilizer and nonionic O/W emulsifier for fragranced products.

Due to a relatively higher degree of ethoxylation, Oleth-10 has good solubility and excellent emulsification power, with an HLB value of 12.4. Combined with Oleth-20, it is a highly effective fragrance solubilizer since the two exhibit synergistic effects when used in a duo.

Oleth-10 is soluble in water and insoluble in mineral oil and other non-polar solvents. It works exceptionally well with unsaturated fatty moieties and can be used as an emulsifier for various creams or lotions.

Oleth-10 is used in many personal care preparations, including leave-on products, thanks to its nonionic nature and low odor. It is an exceptional fragrance solubilizer. The usage level varies from 0.5% to 10.0%, depending on the product type. It is fully biodegradable.
