Thanks to conductive properties, Sodium Polystyrene Sulfonate allows it to quickly dissipate the electric charge generated by combing or brushing. This property allows formulators to use it as an anti-static agent avoiding sticky or greasy ingredients.

The ingredient incorporated in the leave-on application forms thermally stable strong flexible films well above 300°F (150°C).
