Retinyl Palmitate/Carrot Polypeptide is an ingredient known under the trade name Vitazyme™ A. It is a retinyl palmitate polypeptide conjugate, where retinyl palmitate bonded covalently with a natural polypeptide derived from a carrot.

Retinyl Palmitate/Carrot polypeptide exhibits lower dermal toxicity, and it is milder than equal levels of retinyl palmitate. In addition, this ingredient is also more readily absorbed into the skin.

Partition coefficient studies revealed that Vitazyme™ A appears equally in both the oil and water phases of an emulsion and this dual solubility illustrates the more significant level of penetration into the skin.
