In ancient times, Yarrow (Achillea Millefolium) was one of the herbs dedicated to the "Evil One" and was used for divination in spells. Achillea Millefolium was also used to stop nosebleeds and to relieve headaches, severe colds, and fevers. Opening the pores and purifying the blood were among its uses.

The American Indians used the herb in poultices to combat skin rashes, wounds, and ulcers. Topically, Achillea Millefolium was renowned for its astringent leaves.

Throughout recent years, tests have shown that Achillea Millefolium Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract reduces inflammations and calms skin irritation. When tested in vitro, Achillea Millefolium preparations have exhibited antibiotic effects and, thus, have been used to treat boils, skin infections, measles, and other eruptive diseases.

Achillea Millefolium Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract is a light to medium amber liquid with a characteristic odor. It is used in creams, lotions, gels, toners, and moisturizers for the skin. It can also be used in hair care products, especially those formulated for baldness.
