Nikkolipid 81S®

Functions
Emulsifier
Moisturizer
Anti-inflammatory

Nikkolipid 81S® is a multifunctional lipid complex derived from natural raw materials and composed mainly of batyl alcohol, refined soy lecithin, stearic acid, and caprylic/capric triglycerides, with emulsifying, anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties.

The combination of batyl alcohol and lecithin enhances the anti-inflammatory effect of the Nikkolipid 81S® base, which can, be used in formulations for sensitive skin or skin with atopic dermatitis. This composition is similar to human sebum, allowing the creation of formulas with high moisturizing power and great affinity with the skin.

By restoring the structure of the stratum corneum, this complex can be used on dry, sensitive, and rough skin. Lecithin is one of the components of the cell membrane, widely used in cosmetics for its moisturizing, anti-irritant, percutaneous absorption, and emulsifying properties. Bathyl alcohol is well known for its anti-inflammatory effects and its association with lecithin enhances the beneficial effects of Nikkolipid 81S®.

This base allows the formation of a reticular gel structure in the aqueous phase, enabling the creation of stable O/W emulsions through the simple dispersion of the oil phase in the aqueous phase. Nikkolipid 81S® is suggested for the creation of very stable bases containing liquid crystals, with a differentiated sensorial, dry touch and affinity with the skin, for the delivery of different types of active ingredients and sun filters.
