Biosaccharide Gum-1 is a natural polymer composed of simple sugars like L-fucose, D-galactose, and galacturonic acid. These sugars exist naturally in the skin, either in free form or in the form of glycolipids, glycoproteins, or polysaccharides, and they play a vital role in cellular communication. For example, L-fucose notably has a strong affinity for receptors that regulate the inflammatory response on the surface of keratinocytes.
