Ethylbisiminomethylguaiacol Manganese Chloride known under the trade name EUK-134™ is an active ingredient that mimics antioxidant enzymes action such as superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase.
EUK-134’s dismutation of the superoxide anion (O2-) and scavenging of peroxide (H2O2) is very similar to the action of superoxide dismutase and catalase on the skin. Ethylbisiminomethylguaiacol Manganese Chloride has the ability to assimilate H2O2 liberated by SOD action rapidly. It is therefore a complete antioxidant system that mimics nature and can be used as an active cosmetic ingredient.
