Ribes Nigrum (Black Currant) Bud Extract is a dark brown-green paste with a characteristic pleasant, fresh, and cassis odor. It is a fragrance and fruity flavoring ingredient with raspberry, blackberry, loganberry, strawberry, and black currant notes.
Dormant black currant buds ( Ribes nigrum L.) are cut off the twigs, gently dried, and extracted with supercritical carbon dioxide. The obtained concrete is re-extracted with natural ethanol.
