Cetyl Acetate is insoluble in water, ethanol, and propylene glycol and miscible in castor oil, mineral oils, and volatile silicones. It is suitable for skin preparations of all kinds at a use level of 2 to 5%.

Cetyl Acetate Is an extremely light and lubricious ester that leaves the skin with a light, soft feel. It is an effective replacement for products marketed as blends of cetyl acetate and lanolin oil. It is completely synthetically derived and possesses no animal-derived components.
