Cocamide DEA is a clear, viscous liquid based on the renewable vegetable lipid found in coconut oil. It is a uniquely natural complement for use in personal care products as a multi-functional foam booster and thickener with high biodegradability and low aquatic toxicity. Produced using the highest-quality plant-derived raw materials, it is characteristically low in color and odor and a reliably consistent ingredient.

With its unique thickening, foam-boosting, foam-stabilizing, and solubilizing properties, Cocamide DEA is a practical ingredient for use in a wide range of products, including shampoos, mild skin cleaners, soap and shave gels, skin lotions, and bath oils.

In skin care applications, Cocamide DEA is a mild surfactant with good skin cleansing properties. It provides a pleasant skin feel and contributes to re-fatting properties. It is also used as a nonionic emulsifier, foam booster, and stabilizer and as a convenient and efficient thickener.

Cocamide DEA's exceptional emulsification properties are useful in non-aqueous formulations such as foaming bath oils. Its unique skin cleansing performance makes it a good alternative to alkyl poly-glucosides and alkyl betaines in hand cleaners, makeup removers, and other specialized skin cleansing products.

For household products and industrial applications, Cocamide DEA is used as a foam booster and thickener in liquid dish and car wash soaps, as well as as an emulsifier and lubricant in metalworking fluids. It is a non-sensitizer, non-mutagenic, mild eye irritant (OECD 405), skin irritant (OECD 404), and readily biodegradable ingredient.
