Isooctane is a colorless liquid with low odor intensity. It is volatile and evaporates rapidly. Isooctane is an excellent solvent where quick drying without residue of the solvent is desired. Compared to other volatile solvents it exhibits a low skin irritation profile and is used as a replacement for more irritating solvents in removers and cleansers.
Isooctane is highly stable and has good compatibility with other ingredients. It complies with the regulations in the European Union and the United States of America.
