Kojic dipalmitate is a Kojic acid derivative widely used in skin brightening applications thanks to its high effectiveness and outstanding stability in formulations. Similarly to Kojic acid, it inhibits tyrosinase enzymatic activity blocking melanin pigment production.

Kojic dipalmitate is used in skin care, skin-whitening, and speckle-dispelling products. It is soluble in oils, ethanol, and liquid paraffin. Stabilizing in pH 5 to 8.
