Oleth-2 is an ethoxylated (2 moles) oleyl alcohol, a pale, straw-colored liquid without odor. It is a water-in-oil emulsifier and solubilizer, especially for fragranced products designated as "fragrance grade" because of exceptionally low odor.
Oleth-2 is an exceptional nonionic W/O emulsifier and is used in a wide range of product types and applications. It is derived from a vegetable-derived alcohol.
Oleth-2 is an easy-to-use liquid form. Its nonionic nature makes it an ideal ingredient for use in leave-on skin care products. Depending on product type, the use levels range from 0.5% to 10.0%.
